ReplyDeleteI have a dream……but at the moment that dream is just too elusive and unattainable for me. What is it?? Well, it’s the chance to see this world from way up high – in a balloon ride with my Dad.
I’m slowly but surely trying to save money for this unique experience. So many people have said that it is the most fantastic and wonderful experience imaginable. It’s almost like being blown away and flying without any wings!
The reason I would love to treat my Dad is that I feel he deserves it. Sadly my poor mum died last year from cancer, she had lived with that ugly disease for years. Most families would break down but rather than crumble, my dad bravely embraced the role of her constant carer. Without him, she would have died years earlier. He kept the whole family together, he was a pillar of strength and courage – our beacon of shining light through the roughest of months we had ever been confronted with. He cherished every moment with mum. Never raised his voice to her and always held her like his high school sweetheart. I believe my Dad is a man with a heart of gold and the bond between the two of us is unbreakable. People say that a balloon ride is the one thing you should do before you die and I feel that my dad could do with a lift like that right now. It might not take all his cares away, but it would ease the pain for a short while. I’ve heard it’s magical, dreamy, peaceful and memorable.
However, it’s very expensive and I could really do with help in building up enough money to treat him for his birthday next month. Life is short but memories last a lifetime and I would love the chance of taking him up up and away… Please, please make my dreams come true!

My husband's birthday is on the 28th and he sometimes feels jipped because since Christmas is so close, he gets presents split between the 2 days.
